The use of CGI (computer-generated imagery) in film title design is relatively new. In the early ninetees, most motion graphic design agencies started moving away from traditional technologies such as camera-based animation in favor of high-end computers. Computers became faster and professional software more easily available, which made it possible for more studios and individual designers to use CGI.
