Pioneered by international events about design, innovation and creativity such as OFFF and FITC, the event title sequence has established itself as an important new platform for title design. Many large events nowadays operate in a similar way as a brand – a brand that sells an experience. But the event brand's identity tends to be more fluid, dynamic and open to interpretation. Contrary to title designers who work for film and television, the event title designer is generally unhindered by any kind of fixed narrative framework. This creative freedom has opened up the path for some real innovation in the field of title design, as this collection testifies.
