Mad Money

Michael Riley (2008)

Mad Money is a crime/comedy caper about three women who scheme to steal money from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. For the end credit sequence, Shine’s art director Michael Riley re-combined some of the most iconic elements from US dollar bills – the decorative patterns, the symbols, the portraits – and ‘funkyfies’ them by adopting a “mad” contrasting color scheme, which suits The Heavy’s funky score like a glove.
